How accurate are the AI nutritional estimates?
Our AI provides estimates with confidence scores. The accuracy depends on image quality, food complexity, and how well the AI has been trained on similar foods. You can always edit any values manually. Over time, the AI learns from your corrections to improve accuracy for foods you commonly eat.
Is my food data private?
Yes. Your food logs and personal data are completely private. We never share your individual data with anyone. We don't have social feeds or any way for other users to see what you eat. You can export or delete all your data at any time.
Can I use the app without an internet connection?
You can log food offline, but AI estimates require an internet connection. Your logs will sync automatically when you're back online. All your data remains accessible offline once synced.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Export Data. You'll receive your complete data in CSV and JSON formats via email. This includes all your food logs, nutritional data, context signals, and activity entries.
What devices are supported?
nutrition.log is currently available for iOS 16 and later. An Android version is planned for future release.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. To cancel: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → nutrition.log → Cancel Subscription. Your data remains accessible until the end of your billing period.
Can I track macros and specific nutrients?
Yes. The app tracks calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, and several vitamins and minerals. You can customize which nutrients appear in your daily overview.
Does the app set calorie goals or limits?
No. nutrition.log doesn't set goals, targets, or limits. The app is designed for awareness, not restriction. You can see your data and patterns without judgment or pressure to hit specific numbers.

Troubleshooting
App won't sync
Check your internet connection. Try logging out and back in. If the issue persists, contact support with your device model and iOS version.
AI estimates seem wrong
Check the confidence score. Lower scores mean the AI is uncertain. Edit the values manually. Your corrections help improve future estimates. Take clearer photos when possible.
Voice input not working
Check microphone permissions in Settings → nutrition.log → Microphone. Make sure you're speaking clearly and not in a noisy environment.
Camera access denied
Go to Settings → nutrition.log → Camera and enable access. You can still use text or voice input if you prefer not to grant camera access.
